Have you received a gift lately that made you rethink how you lived without it? That type of gift is few and far between. Most gifts are welcomed, but many just end up collecting dust. Yet God has a gift that will alter the trajectory of your walk if you ask for it.
Isaiah 27:11 discusses the consequences that people face without this gift. Can you guess what it is?
If you guessed the gift of discernment, you would be correct. It is a gift that separates those who deal with life from those who deal with death. Discernment gives us the ability to navigate nuances and to understand that life isn't always black and white. There are grey areas where the ability to discern right from wrong gives us an advantage.
The Bible, in its written form, does not deal with every aspect of life that you will face; however, if you accept its accounts as true, it gives you the gift of spiritual discernment—a gift that will follow you and pay dividends as you navigate this complex and paradoxical world.
