You're Not Crazy, It's Supposed Be Like This

If you look around and see struggle, pain, and strife, remember that this is expected. God has declared this world fallen many times. He raises up a nation, a people, a tribe—and yet they always return to the path that led to their previous destruction.
But there is something you can do...
Although it may seem futile and pointless, there is a powerful gesture you can make. In Isaiah 16:4, God instructs those who are able: "Let the outcasts of Moab sojourn among you; be a shelter to them from the destroyer." When people are suffering and facing hardship, a few will manage to escape.
You can support them in many ways—by providing food, money, or even a place to stay if you have room. It doesn't have to be material support; it can be emotional, spiritual—a phone call, a Bible verse—anything that helps those who are lost and displaced by disaster.
Tragedy will always be a part of this world. We are called to be a rock for people to lean on when trouble occurs.
