Have You Heard the History of WISDOM?

In Proverbs 8, wisdom speaks with a voice as old as time, declaring its existence before the world began. “The Lord possessed me at the beginning of his work, the first of his acts of old” (v. 22). Long before the earth’s foundations were laid or the stars graced the heavens, wisdom was there—woven into the very essence of creation.
It’s not a modern invention or fleeting trend but an eternal truth that has guided the universe from the start. Wisdom was God’s companion as He shaped the mountains, filled the seas, and gave order to chaos, making it an unshakable foundation for life.
But wisdom isn’t just a relic of eternity; it’s alive and calling out to us today. “To you, O men, I call, and my cry is to the children of man” (v. 4). It stands at the crossroads of our decisions, offering direction for those willing to listen. By embracing it, we align ourselves with God’s design—one that is stable, purposeful, and good.
Wisdom isn’t just about making smart choices; it’s about living in harmony with the Creator’s eternal plan. To pursue it is to pursue life itself.
