Here's Why Your Leaders CAN'T Be TRUSTED

Leaders hold a vital role in our lives, shaping the communities, policies, and decisions that impact us all. Yet, Psalm 146:3 offers a sobering reminder:

"Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation."

Leaders, no matter how wise or powerful, are human and finite. They can inspire and guide, but they cannot bear the weight of our ultimate hope. Their plans, like their lives, are fleeting. This perspective frees us from misplaced expectations and teaches us to view leadership through the lens of grace rather than dependence.

Instead of anchoring our trust in human leaders, Psalm 146 redirects our focus to the Lord, "who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, who keeps faith forever" (v. 6). God alone is perfectly just, unchanging, and able to deliver true salvation. While we respect and pray for our leaders, we are reminded to place our ultimate confidence in the One who reigns with perfect wisdom and mercy.

When leaders falter or disappoint, as they inevitably will, our hearts remain steady because they are rooted in God's unfailing character. This posture of trust liberates us to honor and engage with earthly leadership while keeping our hope anchored in the eternal King.
