Psalm 118 offers a profound reminder that those who trust in the Lord are under His protection and need not fear human threats. It reassures us of God’s steadfast love and ultimate authority over all circumstances.

In **Psalm 118:6** (ESV), the psalmist declares:
*"The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?"*
This verse conveys the confidence believers can have when they rely on God. While humans may attempt to harm or oppose, their power is limited compared to the infinite strength and sovereignty of the Lord.

The psalmist continues in **Psalm 118:8-9** (ESV):
*"It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes."*
These verses urge us to put our faith in God rather than in human leaders or systems. Human power is temporary and fallible, but God's power is eternal and perfect.

Additionally, the assurance of God’s help is found in **Psalm 118:7** (ESV):
*"The Lord is on my side as my helper; I shall look in triumph on those who hate me."*
This reminds us that God stands with His people, offering both guidance and deliverance. The psalmist celebrates victory not through personal strength, but through the Lord’s intervention.

In conclusion, Psalm 118 teaches that no harm can ultimately prevail against those who trust in God. While challenges may arise, they cannot undermine His plans or separate us from His love. With the Lord on our side, we can confidently ask, "What can man do to me?"
